Hunter Safety Classes

The Bridgeport Conservation Club proudly offers the Michigan Hunter Safety Class. A comprehensive course designed for new and seasoned hunters alike. Whether you’re looking to obtain your first hunting license or refresh your knowledge, our class provides the essential skills and certification required by the State of Michigan.

This in-depth program covers a wide range of topics to ensure you become a safe, responsible, and ethical hunter. Participants will learn about firearm safety, proper handling and storage of firearms, and the fundamentals of marksmanship. The curriculum also includes instruction on wildlife conservation, hunting laws and regulations, and ethical hunting practices to promote respect for both wildlife and fellow hunters.

Our experienced instructors use a mix of classroom learning and hands-on activities, including supervised range time, so you can build confidence and competence in real-world scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive the official Michigan Hunter Safety Certificate, which is required for purchasing a hunting license in the state.
